NEW YORKStoryCorps, a national nonprofit oral history organization, will team up with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) to record stories of IAVA members nationwide, as part of StoryCorps’ Military Voices Initiative. The Military Voices Initiative is a collaborative project to record, share, and preserve the unique stories of new veterans, service members, and their families. IAVA is the nation’s first and largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving the lives of our newest veterans and their families.

We invite members of the press to interview IAVA participants, speak to StoryCorps staff, and tour the recording facility. Media must RSVP in advance to Michelle McCarthy, michelle@iava.org.
